Nufish was contracted to cook up a new iPhone application promoting Alaska Seafood’s frozen fish industry. The Alaska Seafood COOK IT FROZEN!® Easy Recipes app is more than just a a showpiece; this server-side driven app offers quick, flavorful recipes for preparing frozen Alaska seafood without thawing!

We are very proud of the overall design and interface which marries Apple’s iPhone UI with the COOK IT FROZEN! Techniques brand design (www.cookitfrozen.com). Pulling data from a built database, the user can choose a variety of recipes by species or cooking technique.

And, just in case you are a visual learner, how-to videos teach users how to cook frozen seafood using a wide variety of cooking techniques. It’s like having a personal cooking class at your fingertips. Once you’ve settled on your favorite Alaska fish and how to cook it, what’s left? A trip to the grocery store. Included in the app is a dynamic grocery list that displays ingredients for each recipe; check off your list as you go!

Have you ever wondered how fast you really are at texting or typing on the iPhone? TypeStar is a game that put’s your typing/texting skills to the test. Branding resembles a bit of Rock-Band and Mario with a heavy balance of original iPhone UI design.

When the game begins, utilize iPhone’s default typing keypad to type the word floating above. Each word you complete ads to your score, but if you type wrong, the familiar “vibrate” feature buzzes you! Expando

Expando is a challenging and addictve game for the iPhone. Within several days of the application’s launch, over 1.3 million hours were played from iPhone users around the world.

In Expando, you have to try to fill up the screen with cute smiley faces without hitting the little red balls! Advance to the next level for cool new backgrounds and more difficulty as more red balls are introduced to the game.

BottleSpin

Even though there has to be twenty apps already boasting the “spin the bottle” game, our client provided a few new ideas that we think will be enough to give it the angle and the edge over the competition.

Of course our bottle spins using iPhone’s touch/gesture technology, but this specific application allows the user to input up to six “Names” into the game. Now when the bottle spins, it lands on a name leaving out any confusion as to who “WINS” the game.

We have truly enjoyed playing this game. Word Whirl comes with over 8000 words, awesome graphics, and addictive sound. Its the best word game for the iPhone and a great way to improve your vocabulary.
